Breathwork
Overview, Who Is It For, and What To Expect During Your Session
Breathwork encompasses a range of conscious breathing practices used therapeutically to shift mental, emotional, and energetic states. While breath has been used in spiritual traditions for millennia — pranayama in yoga, Taoist breathing, Sufi dhikr — modern breathwork modalities such as Holotropic Breathwork, Transformational Breathwork, and Rebirthing use specific breath patterns to bypass the analytical mind and access deeper layers of experience.
Breathwork activates the body's own healing intelligence. By altering the rhythm, depth, and pattern of the breath, practitioners guide clients into expanded states of consciousness where suppressed memories, emotions, and physical tensions can surface and be released. Many report experiences of profound peace, cathartic release, visions, or even transcendent states during sessions.
Who is Breathwork for?
Breathwork is powerful for those carrying stored trauma, anxiety, grief, anger, or emotional numbness. It is also sought by those on a conscious evolution path who want expanded states of awareness without plant medicines. It is contraindicated for certain health conditions — always disclose your health history to your facilitator.

What to expect in a Breathwork session
You will lie down in a comfortable, supported space. Your facilitator will guide you into a specific breathing pattern — often circular and connected, with no pause between inhale and exhale. Music typically accompanies the session. You may experience tingling, emotional releases, visions, or spontaneous physical movement. Integration time is provided after the active breathing phase.
Typical session length: 90–120 minutes
